Henry

Henry was enjoying his reflection in the mirror today! Sweet little brother!

Brothers

My brothers decided to wear their John Deere shirts the other day. It was fun to get pictures of them all matching!
Later on, Brady and Riley were jumping on the trampoline. They love to try new tricks!
Such as a back flip...

He did land it, on his feet!
Here is the close up. Looks like he fell out of the sky or something!

 Playing leap frog.

Brothers! :-D

Happy 9th Birthday, Riley!

Happy Birthday, Riley!
Highlights of Riley's past year:
~Learning to play the violin
~Working with Dad
~Learning how to do wheelies and other tricks on his last bike
~Jumping on the trampoline
~Making new friends
~Playing with new lego sets
~And of course, singing, talking, and being his usual jubilant self!

His main birthday present today was...
 A John Deere bike!

He's already putting it to use, and enjoying it immensely!

I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will
sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Psalm 104:33

New Brother!

Welcoming Henry Landon Bergen! He was born September 16, weighed 8 lbs. 4oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. We are so blessed to have him in our family!

Psalms 139:14
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; marvelous are Your
works, and that my soul knows very well.

Sand Fort!

Our big sandbox is perfect for many things...building roads, bridges, tunnels, waterfalls, sand castles, and lots more. The latest project by Brady, Riley, and Abby was a sand fort. They found a wooden shipping crate that wasn't being used, and built up the sand around it, almost completely covering it. A perfect house/hideout!

Would you care to see the front? :-)

I know that the Bible says not to build your house on
the sand...but building it in the sand doesn't count, right?

Late summer

We can tell that summer is coming to an end! The corn is ripening, the squirrels are storing up food for the winter, and although we still have some hot, humid days, we have had some beautiful days mixed in. Usually the mornings are cool and crisp, and we have even had some rain!

Storm clouds building up. They were so pretty!
Can you see the rain in the distance?

This squirrel is just finishing up the corn cob that my younger siblings
wedged into a hole in the tree. Homemade squirrel feeder. ;-)

O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Psalm 8:8

God's handiwork

Ever since I took this picture, it has never failed to make me smile! Cute little critter...

In His hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.
Job 12:10

Another beautiful sunset!

I love Nebraska sunsets. I may be slightly biased, but Nebraska has some of the best sunsets I have ever seen! :-) God's glory is so evident in His beautiful paintings!

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
Psalms 19:1-4

For since the creation of the world
His invisible attributes, His eternal power
and divine nature, have been clearly seen,
being understood through what has been made,
so that they are without excuse.
Romans 1:20
